It’s summer, and the semester’s over. But I’ll emerge from my apartment and various travels to teach and read a little from new work.
- From June 15th-20th, I will be teaching a class on writing novels at the Wesleyan University Writers’ Conference. This is a lecture class for five mornings, with some in-class writing exercises. Also present, either teaching or reading: Ha Jin, Paul LaFarge, Roxana Robinson, Josip Novakovich, Jess Row, Roya Hakakian, and Honor Moore.
- On June 22nd, I will teach a fiction craft class at the Ocean State Summer Writers Conference in the morning, and read that evening.
- I’m headed back to Bread Loaf to do a fiction craft class in August, the date to come soon.
Wesleyan and Ocean State are still letting people register, I believe. Bread Loaf, applications for this year are closed.
On or around June 6th, you’ll be with me.
