On December 5th, at the National Arts Club in New York City, I’ll be reading at 7PM from new work.
I’ll either read an excerpt of my second novel, The Queen of the Night, which is near completion, or if it doesn’t want me to read from it, an excerpt of what will be my third novel, Saint Spencer Of The Lost. I’ve been working on one when the other doesn’t talk to me.
I’ll be joined by Joshua Clark, author of Heart Like Water, who will read from his memoir of surviving Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, and Scott Snyder, author of Voodoo Heart.
You may want to bring cash for the cash bar and there is a dress code: nothing is prohibited per se, but the club requests no denim, no sneakers, and no leggings, and requests jackets for the men.
No leggings? Damn!
(Seriously, wish I were closer so that I might attend– good luck, sir. Knock’em dead.)
I’ll be in New York the day before, checking out New School’s info session on their MFA Creative Writing program, but unfortunately I’ve got to go back that night, enjoy the reading!
